The DTA holds as a main objective to provide an updated service in the production of high performance audio-visual, interactive and computational means, with qualified professional and multi-disciplinary human resources, and appropriate equipment, so as to support teaching, research and extension activities that take place at the University of Carabobo. The Direction of Advanced Technology is divided into three departments: Department of Educational Technology: It has administrative functions of technical-help nature regarding the integration of the information technology in the development of the teaching-learning process. Department of Interactive Technology: It bears administrative functions of technical-help nature regarding the development and administration of the learning platforms and the coordination of the technical aspects of communication platforms and collaborative work, based on the GRID technology. Department of Computational Technology: It bears administrative functions of technical-help nature regarding the development of high performance computational applications for the assessing of specific and socially pertinent problems, as well as the technical support of the Head Office.
